Really nice pictures! What does Galgenplaat means? Is it just a name or does it have a meaning?

Hello Kayakr!
A "Galg" is a gallows - Galgenplaat means "sand or plain of the gallows" undoubtedly referring to a dark period in the history of the Oosterschelde...
Greetings,
Hans

oh, then it's similar in Swedish. Galg = Galge! The name makes me curious as a former history student.

Thanks for the answer!
